TV Anywhere and Multi-room streaming: Now available for Virgin Media TiVo

Can we say, about time? I'll have more to say once I've had a play with these long-awaited upgrades to Virgin's TV Service powered by TiVo - until then:

Multiroom not working for me - on previosuly recorded shows or "fresh" recordings I still get the "Cannot be played due to broadcaster restrictions on " :-(

If you look at the small print on the multi-room streaming site, it says that this is only supported on some channels and gives the channel list. The fact that the first channel in the EPG that supports multi-room is number 203 probably sums the whole thing up!

Where's the Android app!

useless for anyone with more than two devices in a house

TV Anywhere is a disappointment with only a very limited number of channels that are viewable on ipad. also the multiroom streaming is not working for me, I can only manage my recordings. Come on Virgin, pull your finger out.

Re the multiroom... Depends on the channels. The we site says (in small print) at the bottom of the vm page.
Re android app... Fr the last year they have said iOS first android to follow. It is under development.

I have posted my initial thoughts on TV Anywhere over at blog.amax-computers.co.uk. As Edward Says Lack of Android support very frustrating.

Multi-room streaming works very well. Its just a pity that with a couple of exceptions, the channels available are ... how shall I put this politely ..... the less popular choices. I struggled to find anything to stream between my boxes - only a couple of shows from Nat Geo that I'd recorded so I still have to waste disk space recording on both so that I can watch where I want

TV anywhere is of limited use without Android support - unless you are one of the iSheep

The good bit about multi-room streaming? It just worked. Plugged the two TiVo boxes together via the Superhub and home network, and one showed up on the other.

The bad bit? It's completely useless. Not a single programme from one box was available to view on the other box "due to broadcaster restrictions".

Be warned. Do NOT spend time or money linking your TiVo boxes together. All you can do is delete the programmes on the other box. This might not be Virgin Media's "fault", but why on earth aren't they telling us that the whole exercise is pointless?

I find it difficult to believe that the Android App was not developed alongside the iPad one. These days it is not good business to assume that only a few people out there use Android and that nearly everybody who has a tablet has an iPad.

Very frustrating!

P.S. You may wish to change your Captcha provider. The last four I had from you were one word and one picture - with no words in it! Four refreshes later and I have an illegible word and a house number!

I emailed them on Friday saying I couldn't view any of my content on my other box and when would channels be available, I got a reply this morning saying they understand my frustration and I should contact customer services if I have a problem viewing programmes, Que ? that's not what I asked !

Virgin Mobile don't sell iPhones, they sell (mostly) Android phones, but choose to leave their own customers waiting for the TVAnywhere app - bizarre

There are responses on the VM Help & Support Forum saying more channels will be enabled for mulit-room streaming "in the next few weeks"
I hope so - it's fairly useless at the moment.
